William and Esther 2

Distant Relatives

WILLIAM VAYRO and ESTHER VAYRO
(GREWELTHORPE near Kirby Malzeard, later in Darlington and Wakefield)

In the early stages of research I had thought this couple were my Great Great Grandparents, due to finding their Marriage entry at East Witton St John the Evangelist Church, Diocese of Ripon, Wensleydale entry no 52 in Parish Register 1837 to 1978 (The COUSINS that married and caused confusion)I have since seen the Certificate dated September 16 th 1850 with the curate George Shepherd.

William Vayro of full age, (possibly born 1828)
Bachelor, farmer living Kirby Malzeard, father William Vayro, farmer
Esther Vayro of full age, (possibly born 1827)
Spinster, farmer living East Witton, father James Vayro, farmer
Both had signed the register, witnessed by William Vayro and Dorothy Walker

A recent contact Doreen Fleming has suggested that another Esther Vayro, daughter of William Vayro and Esther Vayro (and also nee Vayro) was born 11th July 1870 in Darlington.
(Birth Certificate has been seen) with 2 more generations to Doreen. This would make the original Esther about 43 when this second daughter named Esther was born.

This would imply that daughter Esther born 1854 had died before 1870

Sue Royce in New Zealand has also suggested that there could be other children, namely
Emily, aged 16 on 1881C Darlington
Stephen, aged 50 on 1881C Darlington (probably a relative)
Harriett aged 20 on 1881C Darlington
and possibly another James

William their son died Dec Qu 1871 Darlington District 10a, 7 aged 18
Esther the first daughter died Mar Qu 1866 Darlington 10a, 8 aged 11
Mary was a servant aged 20 on 1871 C, RG10 4860 folio 46 P4 Nunthorpe, Stokesley.
